King of Online Ordering Sales


Note:Before reading this post, it's better to read the ealier post "Easy Pizza" first so you can understand what's Domino's online ordering is. 

This post is all about the performance of Domino's as a result of online ordering. According to Domino’s Half Year Result to 3 Jan 2010 report, the online sales globally increased for up to 7.6%.


The network sales growth is shown below:




We can see that Domino's Pizza Australia is benefiting from the online growth. Domino's Pizza ranked No. 1 in Australia’s online ordering sales in the first quarter of 2009 with a 28 % share, according to the NPD Group's CREST research information. In the past 2 years, Domino's dramatically increased its market share from 11 % to a 28 %. 

A former marketing columnist for QSR magazine, Weiss says “As a marketing journalist and demographer, what strikes me most about the Domino's online ordering experience is how seamlessly it combines compelling, visually rich, easy-to-use technology with a smart appeal to a variety of consumer values across the generational spectrum”.

Domino’s has also launched the new Domino’s iPhone Application in November 2009. This new Domino’s iPhone Application was successful and exceeded all expectations. It generated over $2 millions sales in the first 12 weeks!!!
